Bank Statement PDF to CSV — Free online

A plain comma-separated file with your statement's own headings on the first row. Written as UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which is the difference between Excel showing a name correctly and showing it as mojibake.

Plain CSV for import anywhere, UTF-8 with a BOM so Excel opens it without mangling.

Imports anywhere

Accounting packages, spreadsheets, databases and scripts all read CSV. It is the format with the fewest ways to go wrong.

Your bank's headings on row one

The first row is what the bank printed, so a column called Withdrawal stays Withdrawal and does not become a generic Debit.

Encoded so Excel opens it

UTF-8 with a BOM. Without it Excel guesses the encoding and mangles any name with an accent in it.
