QIF to QBO Converter

QuickBooks no longer imports QIF, which leaves anyone with an archive of them stuck. This converts a QIF into a Web Connect file QuickBooks reads, resolving the QIF date ambiguity first so the transactions land on the right days.

QuickBooks dropped QIF support. QBO is the way in now.

The dates settled before conversion

QBO dates are unambiguous, so the ambiguity has to be resolved on the way in. It is, from the evidence in your file, and reported when the file cannot settle it.

Stable ids so a re-import is safe

QuickBooks drops a repeated id without a word, so ids are derived from each transaction's own contents.

A direction for every amount

QIF amounts carry their own sign, which is read as written rather than inferred.
